Privacy

This site is operated by Hemanth Vishnu Akula. It collects as little as possible, uses no advertising or tracking cookies, and never sells or shares your data. Here is exactly what happens to the information that passes through it.

The contact form

If you submit the contact form, the name, email address, optional topic, and message you provide are stored in a private database on this site's own server, and a notification email is delivered to me via Resend (an email delivery service). This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry. It is kept for as long as our correspondence is relevant and deleted on request.

Spam protection

Your IP address is used transiently to rate-limit form submissions. It is held briefly in server memory for that purpose and is not stored with your message.

Server logs

Like virtually every website, the web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, requested page, time, browser user-agent) for security monitoring and abuse prevention. Logs rotate and are deleted automatically.

Analytics

This site uses a self-hosted instance of GoatCounter for simple, privacy-respecting visit counts. It sets no cookies, stores no personal information, does not track you across sites, and the data never leaves this site's own server. No consent banner is required because there is nothing to consent to.

Third parties

No advertising networks, no social-media pixels, no third-party trackers. The only external service involved is Resend, used solely to deliver contact-form notifications to my inbox.

Your rights

You can ask at any time what information I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email hello@hemanthvishnu.com and I'll handle it personally.
